Is there a life beyond or in tangent with the UC San Diego Post Bac? We think so, and so do our students. The cohort model presents a unique opportunity to study together, discuss homework and approaches to medical school, share mutual understanding of what's needed, and the resources available, to be accepted to medical school. Learning from one another can often be as powerful as sitting in the classroom. In addition, San Diego and La Jolla are extraordinary locations for recreational activities, whether those be enjoying the ocean, hiking, running, walking, cycling, etc. — make sure you have some time to relax during this intensive Post Bac year.
In addition, the UC San Diego Post Baccalaureate Premedical Program offers students the opportunity to experience the next best and closest thing to medical school.

“I loved attending UCSD. Coming from a small school, it was so nice to attend a large school and have the chance to explore the campus. Also, it is only 5 minutes away from the beach and has 70 degree weather year-around. Furthermore, I was very lucky to have an advisor that took us out to great restaurants all around San Diego. It was so neat to have the opportunity to see the many unique communities throughout San Diego.”
